A happy new year everyone.

Salinas has a national (and beyond) reputation for seriously celebrating year end. Here's a street market selling effigies that will all be burnt at midnight of the 31st. Handmade, every one:



And there will be fireworks... lots of them.

Ah. Well the UK has decided to have weather for our New Year's Eve/Day, so I kind of hope the fireworks are a bit limited. Certainly they wouldn't fire vertically in my neck of the woods right now.
