Same matchmaking system, private servers are a thing of the past...

Hmmm. Not getting a lot of love in the Steam reviews.

How long does the beta run and when does the game proper come out?

(also any idea how large the final install is - as in how many weeks will it take me to download it? )

Well, the reviews cover most if not all of the irritations.

I have to admit I am disappointed, but we are stuck with the lobby system and will never run a server of our own unless we play a "private" (unraked) game - and then we would need bots to make up the numbers... So we're stuck with the usual mix of snipers, cheats and hacks.

On the up side, it would play a lot better in HC, and I suspect SH will iron out the wrinkles in the game fuctionality.

But... I've heard knitting is a great hobby for old men.

PS: Beta access end tomorrow (3rd Oct). Game release date is 3rd Nov.
